I don't know if I'm more pessimistic than realistic but I don't think there's a real chance we ever see Schuyler back on OLTL. First, I think that the actual head writer (and creator of the Schuyler Joplin character), Ron Carlivati, will be fired within the next few months. And I think his successor will be more willing to create new characters than bring back ancient ones. And second, I think that, by the end of 2011, OLTL will have been cancelled because when you are welcoming in your writing team a woman like Jean Passanante, who has 'helped' tank two soaps (Another World and As The World Turns), it really can't be a good sign. I don't know her work so she may be in fact a very good writer but obviously, her storytelling isn't what the soap viewers want to see.
Okay, I hope I'm too pessimistic and that, one day, Scott will have the opportunity to reprise his Schuyler's role. If that happens, I just hope that the writers will have the good idea to have Schuyler be healed of his stupid Gigi obsession. That way, Scott won't have to share scenes with Farah Fath... Cause I never saw any chemistry between Schuyler and Gigi and that's certainly not Scott's fault. I think I would have bought their 'love story' more easily if Scott had had a more expressive partner... like Nefertiti's mummified body.
Anyway, whatever awaits Scott in the future, I agree with him that he can be very, very proud of what he has done on OLTL. He sure did an amazing job and I hope that it will help him to find another role soon.
