Wow, that Drew Tyler Bell victory was completely unexpected! I won't comment on his performance since I haven't seen his reel (I don't think it's available on YouTube) and I only see him in a handful of episodes in which he was playing a very secondary role. I guess the voters decided to give the Emmy to the only nominee who is still playing the role he was nominated for (even if he's now on recurring status).
So I'm okay (kind of) with his win. Do I think Drew Tyler Bell is more talented than Scott? Hell, no!! Do I think Scott deserved to win his first Emmy? Of course, and I'm sure that one day, he'll ultimately have one (hopefully, next year). But I think I'll be more bummed if the winner was Drew Garrett cause I'd have the feeling Scott would have been robbed (I honestly think Scott's reel was way better than Drew's).
4 nominations, 4 losses. Scott is starting to look like a male version of Susan Lucci. I hope someone will be clever enough to hire him to star in a primetime series soon cause he has too much talent to stay all his career in the fading daytime soap business.
As for the ceremony, I only watched the first 50 minutes but I found it quite boring. Scott looked a bit upset after Drew Tyler Bell's speech. I hope it was mainly because Drew just thanked "his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ". I know I rolled my eyes when he said that. Anyway, it was great to see again Scott on TV even if it was for only 5 seconds. Still three weeks to go before his first B&B episode.
Here's two screen captures I made of Scott's brief appearances during the part of the ceremony I watched. Sorry about the bad quality (streaming).
Scott seated behind Bradford Anderson. Looks like Bradford has embraced the motto of the new Doctor Who: "Bowties are cool".

Scott and Nicole, his gorgeous girlfriend. They make such a cute couple.
