The news is bittersweet for me. One because I adore Greg and I hate to see him being shoved out because GH didn't really ever write for him (he basically got the Lindze treatment) which I am still very

about. Greg always did very well with what GH gave him to work with though. Sarah Brown is jumping to B&B (where Rick Hearst is), Wally Kurth is on Days... and of course Scott is on OLTL. With some of the AMC actors not going to LA for the switch....I would love to see Greg on AMC (I would probably tune in for some Greg/Alicia stuff) as Thorstan Kaye is not making the move (dont blame him as Susan is on OLTL...and family is in New York)
People (not you specifically) forget that TV isnt just for entertainment, its a buisness. GH ratings have been pretty low for a while now. They need to do something to correct this otherwise they may be the next soap canceled. They need ratings, they need repeated customers (watchers). It also annoys me when I read people saying REAL Lucky is returning. Er um Greg didn't write for Lucky people...He did an excellant job with what was written for him. =)
But on the other hand...Jonathan Jackson IS my favorite actor/musican, so...
In no way shape or form am I suggesting that ONE actor can change all that, because well it won't. But I am hoping that with JJ returning, James Franco guest appearing (I heard he asked GH if he could join), Rachel Ames coming out of retirment (not sure how long)....and I would really assume Genie Francis will appear at some point. And of course as per usual the Vanessa Marcil rumors are floating around again (LOL) With casting more Cassadines, I feel the Spencer/Cassadine fued is heating up....which I LOVE that idea.
And of course one actor, character, storyline is NOT going to up ratings (they may for a week or two, etc) but something has to be done to get people watching every day (which of course if the networks would include soapnets ratings or youtube ratings--which is how a lot of people watch soaps these days--then perhaps the actual ratings of the shows wouldn't be so low).
On a side note--GH ratings did go up a bit this past week (Spixie's non wedding

) when there was no MOB stuff, no Sonny or not all about his children. BUT instead was about love, family, friends, and every character involved having a good time...Of course 3 days later...
